TripAdvisor Review: Arkham B&B (Elizabethan-Gothic District)
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
The Good:
The architecture is absolutely stunning! If you love that "haunted Victorian mansion meets maximum security" vibe, this is your place. The stone walls are several feet thick, which provides excellent soundproofing when the neighbors (looking at you, Waylon) get a bit rowdy at night.
The staff is very hands-on! They have a concierge service that follows you everywhere with tasers, and the "room service" is incredibly consistent—the chocolate pudding cups are the highlight of my stay. Also, the fitness center is very exclusive; it’s basically just a courtyard with a fence, but the cardio you get from running away from the orderlies is top-tier.
The Bad:
The "check-in" process is a bit aggressive. They took my mallet and my favorite mismatched socks at the door, which I felt was a real blow to the hospitality experience. Also, the Wi-Fi is terrible. I tried to post a selfie with my roommate Ivy and the signal kept dropping because of the lead-lined walls.
The most disappointing part was the "Late Checkout" policy. I tried to leave at 2:00 AM through a hole in the ceiling, and the security team was very rude about it. They don't seem to understand that "Bed & Breakfast" shouldn't mean "Bed & Permanent Custody."

Comments:
@Ivy_P: Harleen, stop calling it a B&B. It’s a dungeon with better plumbing. Also, you’re still wearing my sweater.

@Arkham_Admin: Ms. Quinzel, for the last time, the 'concierge' are guards, and the pudding is only for patients who don't start fires during group therapy.
@The_Joker: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Worst room service ever. They didn't even laugh at my jokes.
